Project Life

I'm going to toot my horn for a second and say that I have been doing a fantastic job with staying all caught up on my Project Life. With that being said, I haven't been so great at posting about each week on here, so it all piles up and I get to show a few weeks at a time! I'm going to use the excuse that ''I'm a mom and moms just don't have a lot of time to sit down and blog!"

I believe I only have 3 weeks to display, which means I'm getting better at finding time to do the blog thing! I think you'll find (I've noticed this about my Project Life), that it's primarily pictures and not so much journaling. I've found that as my photography skills develop, I just take TOO many pictures that I LOVE and it almost breaks my heart to have to leave out pictures from our week. I'm trying to figure out more ways to journal on my photos (thank you Photoshop), so that I don't have to waste a pocket with a journal card.

So, here it goes...Weeks 10-12:

So here's my total overview of week 10 in our life. I have been adding to my collection of washi tapes and find that I use them ALOT more! And they are fabulous! Thank you to whomever thought of this wonderful product.

This week, I had stopped by Old Navy and walked out with an adorable pair of swim trunks with a matching pair of sandals for Mr. G. Although, I'm really not sure if he will even fit in them by the time it is warm enough to even use a pool! I have a feeling we're going to have to buy a couple different pairs by the time summer is over just due to that fact that he is growing like a weed!
This was also one of the first weekends that we spent outside doing yard work. Loved it! I also made my first batch of baby food...peas to be exact. Greyson didn't seem to like them very much at first. In fact, he fell asleep during our first attempt.
Week 11 was great! So many photos this week! I had to add an insert to this week! (Again, my problem with being decisive on photos!) Tyler and I have decided that our little boy loves to be outside! Just stick him in his lady bug play toy thing and he's good to go while we work in the yard.

I got this cute fan printable from one of my favorite blogs (mainly because she always has free fonts and printables, which I appreciate!) my life in lowercase. We were on to avocado this week for G. It was super easy to make and the kiddo loved it with his cereal.
I couldn't have asked to move into a better neighborhood. It's quiet and we have the BEST neighbors any one could possibly ask for. With the warmer weather, everyone is coming out from hibernating in their homes. The kids are running around every where and families are out for walks! For St. Patrick's Day, one of our neighbors had everyone over. I socialized for a while, then the baby fell asleep, so my camera came out and I took quite a few photos of all the little kiddies running around in their green attire. Its crazy to me how your life can completely change in two years time. Two years ago, I was taking the day off of work to go spend my day drinking and dancing to the music of the bagpipe guys that went through every bar. Now, I'm a mom and find more enjoyment out of having ONE beer and taking photos of beautiful little kids. Two years ago, I couldn't have possibly imagined that I would rather be at a neighborhood bb-q with MY family than at the bars drinking. My oh my how my perception of what makes life great has changed! And I'm loving it!
Week 12 --> We've got a great group of friends here (all of the guys grew up together). Every couple of weeks we have FAW (Friday After Work). We all get together at one of our houses and have dinner and drinks. Its a great way to end stressful weeks. The neat thing is we three couples all had little boys within 3 months of each other. So we love getting them all together. Our other friends, just had a little girl in February so they have joined our awesome group!

Also, this weekend, my dad came to visit. He's only seen G a few times since he was born and is always amazed at how much he changes. He helped us do some yard work and measured out where our deck is going and showed us where the post holes needs to go. Can't wait to get this project done! Our neighbors also stopped over with their granddaughter, so obviously, my camera came out! She was a doll and so bubbly!

So, I'm finally, basically, caught up! I just need to finish this last week and post that! Yay! Maybe I'll get to that later this evening. Who knows?!
