My Simple Things

Holy cow! It has been SO long since my last Simple Things.  The summer just got away from me and now it's almost October!! Wow! We had so much going on this summer, with friends' weddings, mini-vacations, work, our own wedding, Greyson's 1st birthday this last weekend, and finding out that #2 is on the way! I have so many pictures that I love from the last few months, but I will spare you the time of looking at hundreds of pictures and only post a handful! :)

In June, we went to Kansas City for a wedding and while we were there we took Greyson to the zoo. I'm pretty sure if he could talk, he would tell us that this was his favorite part. He loves petting animals and this sheep was no exeption!

Early in the spring we cleaned up our tree line and got all of the over growth out of there! Fun work, let me tell you. We planted a ton of wild flower and sunflower seeds and the sunflowers finally started to bloom in July. They were beautiful!

We are very lucky to have some close friends that also have little boys within 2 months of our own little man and we love getting together with them for Friday night BBQ's. By August, the three boys were mobile and found our deck stairs to be very entertaining! Little Brecken and Max got some exercise that night!

Once we found out that we were going to have another wonderful little baby, my photography mind went crazy and scoured Pinterest! So, below is what we ended up using for a baby announcement. Pretty simple, but worked well for Facebook.

So the rest of the pictures that I'm putting up, I did not take, but they mean an awful lot to us since they are from our recent wedding. Which was VERY small & VERY simple. And there are a couple from Greyson's 1st birthday party yesterday. My cousin was ever so nice to join us for both occasions and take photos for us!

Our wedding was nice and simple. We went to a cute little church an hour north of where we live and only had parents/siblings there. We went to the Little Brown Church, which is a historical place! The church is 152 years old and the pastor told us during the ceremony that we were the 73,591st couple to get married there. It was a very neat little place and the leaves were turning/falling so that made it even better! Here's some info on the church.

Love both of these and the little scrunched up face that he makes when he is overly excited!

Lastly, Greyson's 1st birthday party was yesterday and I was ready for it to be over before people even showed up! I was absolutely exhausted by the time the shindig started, but the day ended up being great! We had a ton of good food, which we will be eating for the next 6 months, he got lots of fantastic, entertaining toys, and he successfully made a mess of himself!

So sorry about the overload of pictures! :) I need to start doing this more regularly again! Hope you all have a great week.

Bailey.
