It's the simple things that matter most...

Tyler had to work at the police department the last two nights, so it's just been me and G hanging out most of the weekend. I love the weekends we have to ourselves! Little mister climbs over me like a jungle gym and lets me chase him through the house while he giggles hysterically! He has the most perfect laugh in the whole wide world.

We started our Saturday morning off with some light reading in our "vast" library. We're Going On A Bear Hunt is a classic that we always enjoy!

Reading was so mentally exhausting that it was time for a snack and a cuddle with mom.

With a full tummy, soft blanket, and an awesome mommy, it was time to end our morning with a nap! (My personal favorite!)

Best Saturday morning I could possibly ask for!

My simple things.

Our Memorial Day weekend started off very relaxing, with nothing exciting going on. Just hanging out around our house. Of course, we thoroughly enjoyed it! Unfortunately, we ended our holiday weekend, driving all over the state of Iowa. We headed down to Grandma's Monday morning and spent the day there. Thank goodness they got their patio done so we could sit out in the backyard. Like any other baby (I'm guessing), Greyson loves to be tossed up in the air. We can always count on getting a squeal out of the little guy! He just makes us so happy!

Well, for only being 8 months old, Greyson has sure become an expert at crawling! We can't take our eyes off of him for a second! Grandma has wood floors that G loved crawling around on. Until I took this picture, I didn't realize how dirty Grandma's floors apparently were! I love the dirt on his feet, I'll always remember that this was taken during his crawling stage.

While we were at Grandma's, she told us about a bike path that crossed the river not far from her house and how the bridge had been redone, so we decided that we would go up for a walk in the evening. On the way up there, we had to go through a small town where I had seen an amazing treasure just sitting in a field. I had to make everyone stop so I could take pictures with my uncooperative little boy. I'm definitely going to have to stop out at this old Chevy again when Mr. G gets a little bit older!

The bike path bridge was just about a mile to the other side and it happened to be an old railroad bridge that has been completely redone! The view wasn't too bad!

Tyler and I had to take Tuesday off, so that we could attend a funeral. Even though a family member had passed, it was so great to see my extended family that we don't see too often. I love getting pictures like this of my older relatives with Greyson. This was the first time that my great uncle had met G. Amazing memories!

Hope everyone else had a great (short) week!
