Project Life | week 4

I loved this week. It felt like we had a lot going on in our life. Greyson got tubes, I had another ultrasound to make sure Baby Knox is growing like he should be (and oh boy, is he!)....yadda, yadda, yadda.
I don't feel like I ever do anything crazy and over the top with my weekly pages, but I love the colors I used this week. Fun, bright colors in the winter always cheer me up. I was super excited this week, when I figured out how to create a QR code that I can scan and watch a video of my son being excited about the vacuum! I believe I first saw this concept on Sheri Mae's blog. It was super easy to do and the whole idea of being able to go back in a year, 2 years, or 10 years and watch this video is just so neat!!!

Here's what the full spread looks like together.

The left side. This page just covered our Tuesday. Tyler & I both had the day off so that we could be home with Greyson. We had to be at the hospital by 6:00 AM so he could get his ear tubes. He did great and we loved spending the day with him.

With my title card for the week, I decided to hand stitch the '4' on my card. If my sewing machine wasn't missing a fairly important piece, I would have just used that, but I've started to like the way the stitching doesn't look perfect.

And....the right side... It seemed only fitting that I include an MLK, Jr. quote since Monday was MLK, Jr. day.

Again....I loved this week! Looking forward to Week 5!

{week two} Project Life 2013

I am still so excited about 2013 and Project Life! I finished my Week Two layout before Week Two was even done! I kept this week pretty simple & clean and I must say that I'm in love with this week's layout! I still haven't received my Seafoam kit (although, it shipped TODAY!), so I've been improvising with my own paper collection.

Here's the full overview. After the fact, I realized that there was an overall theme of Love. I tried to keep a color scheme going too.

Is it time to start working on Week Three yet?!?!?!

2013 Project Life Cover Page & Week 1

I have been SO excited to start my 2013 Project Life album!! I'm somewhat patiently waiting for the Seafoam Core Kit to become available (any day now!).

Here is my 2013 cover page. It's so much better than the 2012 version! :)
I love the little people wood veneers by Studio Calico!!

Simple Things

I've been so bad about remembering to do this every week but at least I'm making the last one of 2012! :) So here are a few things that we did over our Christmas holiday.

We did some reading.

We played in the snow for the first time...EVER!

We enjoyed the snow from inside our warm home.

And, we opened lots of gifts.

And, I've finally entered the 3rd trimester! According to my pregnancy app, we've only got 79 days until our due date. I can't believe little Knox will be here so soon! Greyson won't know what to do!

Hope you all had a happy holiday season!

Christmas is Right Around the Corner...

I've been so busy at work and at home. This pregnancy is FLYING by! It seems like we just found out we're pregnant and we already get to find out the sex of the baby in a few short weeks! On top of that, I have not been thinking about the holidays at all....UNTIL...I got an email from Shutterfly the other day with a discount code for Christmas cards. So that got me thinking that I should just make one, get it ordered, & be done with it! So, I just placed my order and I'm actually excited to get these in the mail!

Simple Things: Autumn

We're only a couple of weeks into the fall and it feels like it's almost over. It's been (what I consider) ridiculously cold out! I'm always cold, so 40 degrees seems VERY cold to me! This week, we headed down to a state park that we live near and got some pictures of the beautiful leaves. Our little guy loved the crunching sound the leaves made when he walked in them!

My Simple Things

Holy cow! It has been SO long since my last Simple Things.  The summer just got away from me and now it's almost October!! Wow! We had so much going on this summer, with friends' weddings, mini-vacations, work, our own wedding, Greyson's 1st birthday this last weekend, and finding out that #2 is on the way! I have so many pictures that I love from the last few months, but I will spare you the time of looking at hundreds of pictures and only post a handful! :)

In June, we went to Kansas City for a wedding and while we were there we took Greyson to the zoo. I'm pretty sure if he could talk, he would tell us that this was his favorite part. He loves petting animals and this sheep was no exeption!

Early in the spring we cleaned up our tree line and got all of the over growth out of there! Fun work, let me tell you. We planted a ton of wild flower and sunflower seeds and the sunflowers finally started to bloom in July. They were beautiful!

We are very lucky to have some close friends that also have little boys within 2 months of our own little man and we love getting together with them for Friday night BBQ's. By August, the three boys were mobile and found our deck stairs to be very entertaining! Little Brecken and Max got some exercise that night!

Once we found out that we were going to have another wonderful little baby, my photography mind went crazy and scoured Pinterest! So, below is what we ended up using for a baby announcement. Pretty simple, but worked well for Facebook.

So the rest of the pictures that I'm putting up, I did not take, but they mean an awful lot to us since they are from our recent wedding. Which was VERY small & VERY simple. And there are a couple from Greyson's 1st birthday party yesterday. My cousin was ever so nice to join us for both occasions and take photos for us!

Our wedding was nice and simple. We went to a cute little church an hour north of where we live and only had parents/siblings there. We went to the Little Brown Church, which is a historical place! The church is 152 years old and the pastor told us during the ceremony that we were the 73,591st couple to get married there. It was a very neat little place and the leaves were turning/falling so that made it even better! Here's some info on the church.

Love both of these and the little scrunched up face that he makes when he is overly excited!

Lastly, Greyson's 1st birthday party was yesterday and I was ready for it to be over before people even showed up! I was absolutely exhausted by the time the shindig started, but the day ended up being great! We had a ton of good food, which we will be eating for the next 6 months, he got lots of fantastic, entertaining toys, and he successfully made a mess of himself!

So sorry about the overload of pictures! :) I need to start doing this more regularly again! Hope you all have a great week.

Bailey.
